In this paper we describe the situation of water supply system of the city of Basrah (Iraq) during the last war on Iraq. The evolution of the productionof the different treatments stations have been monitored daily during the crisis. A careful preparedness, set up before the war has allowed to avoid a major disruption of the water supply of this town of about 2 millions of inhabitants, thanks to the commitment of local contractors and engineers.
